Trial attorney and TU Law graduate T. Luke Barteaux JD was recently confirmed as a judge of the Cherokee Nation District Court sworn in by Cherokee National Supreme Court Chief Justice John Garrett. Since 2011, Barteaux has worked as a trial attorney with Fry & Elder in Tulsa and served on the editorial board of the Cherokee Phoenix from 2014 to 2017.

Like Luke Barteaux, they are pursuing careers in law, medicine, engineering and business. Bart Fite brought a level of sophistication to our courts. I believe, given time, Barteaux will do the same.”
