There are many lists of scholarships available to law students. We encourage your students to inquire with the law schools your students are considering about the scholarships they offer.
You might also encourage your students to search online for private scholarships that are available to incoming 1Ls. They may find there are scholarships available to students interested in different types of law and to people from underrepresented groups and communities. At TU Law, for instance, we keep a list of diversity scholarships.
While they are in law school, students should also be on the lookout for applications for scholarships from private donors. Those opportunities are often directed to specific schools and many of them are focused on particular areas of law (e.g., environment, health, criminal).
