Cassia Carr graduated from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2016 after completing several impressive legal internships and externships gained through the college. “TU is a great choice for law school because the faculty and advisors are very involved and helpful in helping students secure positions and externships, said Carr.”
Carr works as an associate attorney at the firm of HallEstill in Tulsa specializing in litigation practice including bankruptcy and secured transactions. The firm represents clients locally, nationally and internationally with 70 areas of practice, 150 lawyers and seven office locations throughout the central U.S.
During her college years, Carr worked in the Boesche Legal Clinic for the Immigrant Rights Project. She cites that this experience taught her how to work with clients which gave her legal career a jump start. TU Law operates several other legal clinics including Community Advocacy Clinic, Tulsa Immigrant Resource Network and the TU Law Co-op.
During law school, Carr interned at Crowe & Dunlevy and Conner & Winters, both in Tulsa. Her externships included working for Judge Carlos Chappelle, Tulsa County District Court and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tulsa. Carr said, “My experience at TU helped to open many doors and helped me to think a certain way which is valuable in the marketplace.” Carr also served as the Tulsa Law Review editor and as president of the Women’s Law Caucus.
Currently, Carr serves as a mentor at Tulsa Hope Academy for at-risk youth.
